Excessive Heat Warning Issued for West Michigan

Extreme cold stopping mail delivery in parts of MI

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Parts of Michigan will be without mail service Wednesday due to dangerously low temperatures.

The United States Postal Service announced Tuesday night that all zip codes starting with 486-491 and 493-499 are impacted by the closure.

The following areas won’t receive mail Wednesday:

  • Detroit
  • Flint
  • Saginaw
  • Lansing
  • Kalamazoo
  • Grand Rapids
  • Cadillac
  • Mackinaw City
  • Iron Mountain
