OTSEGO TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man is facing several charges after allegedly pulling a gun on a security guard Bittersweet Ski Area.

Deputies were called to the business March 3 on a report of a man who was acting erratically in the parking lot and was armed with a handgun.

Authorities said the man pulled out a handgun when he was confronted by a security guard before deputies arrived.

Once deputies got to the scene, authorities say 53-year-old Jeffrey Miller refused to comply with commands to drop the weapon and walked away from responding deputies. He eventually complied and was arrested.

The security guard told authorities he had been told there were two other incidents of Miller acting erratically toward another employee. The security guard also said he pulled a gun on him a second time, but it’s not clear if the second incident was the same night of Miller’s arrest.

On Tuesday, Miller was arraigned on felony charges of carrying a concealed weapon, two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and two counts of assaulting, resisting or obstructing a police officer. He is also charged with misdemeanor assault and battery.
