HOLLAND, Mich. — Crews are responding to an apparent accidental shooting in Holland.
The incident happened about 4:20 p.m. at a home on Columbia Avenue, south of 29th Street.
Ottawa County dispatchers say a 28-year-old man was handling a gun when it went off, shooting himself in the hand and his 56-year-old mother in the chest. They said the woman is alert and talking.
Both were taken to an area hospital.
