GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Rick and Lou Ann Miller are reunited with their dog, Prince, after finally connecting with the good Samaritan who found him.

Prince ran away on March 24th and the only lead was a message from Home Again, an online microchip registry, that let them know Prince’s chip had been checked  at an animal clinic in Wyoming.

That was where the confusion started.

The clinic told the Millers a teenage girl had brought Prince in, but the chip hadn’t been updated since their recent move to the area, leaving the clinic no way to get in contact with them to bring Prince home.

Having no facilities to house lost animals, the clinic sent Prince home with the young woman. No one had gotten her contact information, though.

The Millers knew Prince was safe, but had no way to get a hold of the woman.

Using local area informed social media groups, the Millers started asking around and sharing their story. FOX 17 spoke with Matthew Miller, their son, after seeing the search for Prince explode on Facebook and take that strange turn.

Following our story online and social media, the young woman was able to get in contact with them. This afternoon, the Millers let us know that Prince was being brought home and they are thankful for the young woman who took good care of him.
