Gov. Whitmer calls Muskegon Hts. boy who was filling potholes

LANSING, Mich. – A Muskegon Heights boy received a special call from Governor Gretchen Whitmer Friday afternoon.

Monte Scott, 12, was shown on video filling potholes in his neighborhood earlier this week. The video went viral.

The governor told Scott that she is proud of him being motivated to help others. You can watch the entire call below.

    Ken, I couldn’t agree more! Maybe if we raise gas taxes just a little more we could actually afford to have people start to work on them instead of just talk about fixing them. I’m willing to bet the streets she travels on daily are as smooth as an airstrip though.
