Intersection reopens in NW Grand Rapids after rollover crash

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.  — An SUV flipped onto its side Saturday night on Grand Rapids’ near Northwest side, and police blocked off the intersection.

The pin-in accident happened at Seward Avenue and 2nd Street, which is just south of I-196 (Gerald R. Ford Freeway).

The time was around 7:55 p.m. Saturday. The accident scene cleared at 8:40 p.m. Saturday.

Police are providing no specifics just yet on exactly how it happened, or who was trapped in the vehicle.

Grand Rapids Police Dispatch told FOX 17 before the crash scene cleared there was no initial report of anyone being taken to a hospital.

Police, fire and ambulance responded to the scene.
