Person of interest in Grand Rapids homicide surrenders

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The person of interest in a Grand Rapids homicide is in custody.

Grand Rapids police say Vincent Walker, 32, turned himself in to police on Wednesday, May 15. He was arrested on weapons charges related to a shooting on Sunday, May 12.

Jordan Brown was shot and killed in the early morning hours of May 12 in the 500 block of Highland Street SE.

Walker has not yet been charged with Brown’s death. Detectives are still investigating the case and will forward results to the Kent County Prosecutor for more possible charges.
