Grand Rapids Police say that the crash happened about 5:40 a.m. at the intersection of Turner Avenue and 6th Street NW. The intersection is a three-way stop, with Turner being a one-way street heading south.

Police say Devin Lamont, 19, was riding a bike westbound on 6th Street when he went through the intersection without stopping. The truck had stopped at the intersection and had started turning east onto 6th Street when the collision happened.

Lamont died at the scene. The truck driver was not injured. Other drivers remained at the scene and told police what they saw.
