Three teens arrested after break-in at Woodland Mall

KENTWOOD, Mich. -- Three people are in police custody accused of breaking into Woodland Mall early Friday.

Kentwood police say it appears they broke in through a glass door and stole items from a cell phone kiosk, a jewelry kiosk and a clothing store.

Police say they used the stolen phones to track down the suspects which lead to a heavy police presence down the road on Grand Rapids' SE side.

A total of three teens, ages 16 and under, are now in police custody but there are two teens still at large.

Investigators are now working to get a search warrant to go inside the home of the suspects.

In a statement, Woodland Mall said:

We are grateful for the fast work of our security firm, Allied Universal, and to Kentwood Police Department, for their quick response to this morning’s break-in. We are cooperating fully with KPD in its investigation and look forward to those responsible for the roberries to be brought to justice.

That mall turned into hood rat central years ago and the city has done nothing. That whole are has degraded because of all The rental properties and the quality tenants it’s brought.

You’re all idiots ☝. Once again, you’ve shown your true colors. We all know what you mean by using your terms. Crimes happen everyday in all neighborhoods, but when you get a chance to criticize a community, you don’t miss a chance. All towns have their bad side. Your arguments are irrelevant kids.

What you are saying is, that this is acceptable now? We should just accept a growing anarchy everywhere? You tell us please, where should the line be drawn? Anywhere? Nowhere? Just let our neighborhoods go to hell like in Baltimore? Please elaborate on how us taxpaying, property owning citizens should just remain quiet and accept that our neighborhoods have been taken over by lawless thuggery in the name of equality and all that is right.

You can bet the city has a progressive DA and will only slap them on their poor little hands. Just like the thug in Philadelphia who had a rap sheet 4 pages long and in and out of prison. He could have killed 6 cops with guns bought on the black market or stolen from breaking into homes and all the thugs in da hood were egging on the cops while throwing objects at them and people wonder why certain citizens are not trusted ?
