ALLEGAN TOWNSHIP, Mich– The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office says a man has come forward to speak to investigators, after a suspicious incident was reported in Allegan Monday morning.

Investigators say they received reports of a man in a mini-van approaching several students at a bus stop off 113th Avenue around 7 a.m., asking if they needed a ride.

That man made contact with the Sheriff’s Office Wednesday afternoon. After speaking with him and witnesses in the van, they say it appears there was a new bus driver for the route in that area. Officials say the new driver was behind schedule and that the man in the van was just letting the kids know.

The Sheriff’s Office says there is no threat to anyone in that area regarding suspicious activity.
