(FOX 17) — Voters around West Michigan are deciding on bonds, millages and who will be the leaders of their community on Tuesday.
Some of the top races included:
Kalamazoo elected David Anderson as their new mayor after Bobby Hopewell announced he would not seek re-election. In Holland, Nathan Bocks beat out incumbent Nancy DeBoer for mayor.
In Grand Haven, Incumbent Geri McCaleb lost the August primary. Tonight there were two remaining candidates: Josh Brugger and Robert Monetza, both of whom are on the city council. With all votes in, Monetza appears to have secured the win.
Hudsonville Public Schools also passed a $139 Million millage.
