    MOUNT PLEASANT, MICH.— With the semis and finals looming on Saturday several west Michigan teams made the trip to Central Michigan’s McGuirk Arena for today’s quarter finals. From the early session Grandville, Whitehall, and Carson City all fell in the quarters but Bronson advanced to tomorrow’s semis.

    ADA, Mich.— Hamilton made the trip to Forest Hill Eastern to take on the Hawks in non-conference action. The Hawkeyes would get the win over the Hawks 55-34.

    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.— Covenant Christian and Tri-Unity Christian are no longer conferences rivals in the now defunct River Valley League, but their own rivalry continues. The Chargers hosted the Crusaders and went onto win 58-50, defeating Tri-Unity for the second time this season.

    ALLENDALE, Mich.— Grand Rapids Catholic Central entered the night unbeaten in the OK Gold. Allendale hosted the Cougars and handed them their first league loss 61-54.

  • Lowell rallies to defeat FH Northern 64-60

    LOWELL, Mich.— Lowell entered the night lead the OK White and they played host to Forest Hills Northern. The Huskies built a 13 point halftime lead, but the Red Arrows rallied to comeback and win 64-60. Lowell Senior Matt Beachler crossed the 1,500 point plateau for his career.

  • Morley Stanwood earns a share of Central States Silver conference championship

    KENT CITY, Mich.— Morley Stanwood and Kent City entered the night tied for first place in the Central States Silver conference. This one came right down to the buzzer and Morley Stanwood’s Tyler Dard knocked down the game winning free throw to give the Mohawks at least a share of the conference championship.

    MUSKEGON, Mich.— Mona Shores hosted Reeths-Puffer and Jordan Walker was honored before the game. The Sailors would go onto win a close game 44-42 over the Rockets.

    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.— Covenant Christian hosted former River Valley League rival Tri-Unity Christian. The Chargers jumped out to an early lead and went on to win big, 67-17.

  • Gobles takes down Galesburg-Augusta 40-33

    GOBLES, Mich.— The Galesburg-Augusta Rams made the trip to Gobles for a girls basketball showdown. Gobles held home court and came away with the win 40-33.
