Born and raised in Holland, Michigan, Erica Francis has always had a passion for reporting.

Erica’s passion to ‘give a voice to the voiceless’ led her to Central Michigan University where she reported and anchored for the university’s award-winning news station, News Central 34.

In addition, she reported for The Chippewa Sports Network and for Meridian Township’s, HOMTV.

Erica graduated from CMU with a degree in Broadcast & Cinematic Arts and a double minor in Journalism and Leadership. Fire Up Chips!

Erica is excited to be working at WXMI Fox 17 News and is looking forward to bringing West Michigan the stories that need to be told.

In her free time, Erica likes to meet new people, golf, sing, work out, and try new foods.

In addition, Erica loves to travel. Her sophomore year of college, she studied journalism for 6 months in Singapore. During her time overseas, she traveled to Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand.
