    BIG RAPIDS, Mich. — The Grand Rapids Catholic Central Cougars have been playing the whole season in memory of Jacob Polokovich’s father, “Southside Jimmy,” who passed away in Big Rapids in October, and their run took them to the quaterfinals. The Cougars came away with the 65-43 win over Boyne City to advance to the Breslin Center.

    CENTRAL MONTCALM, Mich— Covenant Christian made a run to the Breslin Center last year as a relatively young team, and this year’s returning players have been looking to get back there. The Chargers took on Sanford Meridian in the Quarterfinals, and Covenant Christian is headed back to the State Semifinals after a 53-30 win.

    LOY NORRIX, Mich. — Kalamazoo Christian entered the night with a 23-2 record and taking on undefeated Monroe St. Mary’s Catholic Central with a trip to the state semifinals on the line. The Comets would kept it close throughout the game but fell to St. Mary’s, 31-28.

  • West Ottawa headed to the Breslin Center after win over East Lansing

    LANSING, Mich— West Ottawa entered the night with a 23-2 record coming off an overtime victory in the Regional finals over Muskegon. The Panthers leaned on seniors Xaiver Wade who had 20 points and Tyler Bosma who chipped in 16 of his own as West Ottawa got the 58-55 victory over East Lansing.
