    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Earlier this month, Grand Rapids announced the addition of more than 100 new pay stations at parking spaces that were previously free.   • MDOT announces I-96, I-196 reconfiguration plans

    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Michigan Department of Transportation is planning a $36 million investment to reconstruct and reconfigure I-196 between Fuller Avenue and I-96. Plans include adding a third westbound lane just west of Fulton all the way to Fuller. Also, eastbound I-96 and eastbound I-196 will each have dedicated lanes to the Beltline.     GRAND RAPIDS, Mich . — A West Michigan non-profit wants to turn old gadgets into affordable computers for lower income kids and families. The Geek Group, which is based on Leonard Street in Grand Rapids, is accepting donations of old desktops, laptops, keyboards and other computer accessories. “We want your junk,” said Chris Boden, who founded the group in 1994. “We will take semi trailers of thousands of computers.     GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.– A car drove through the front window of the Qik N EZ store at 1001 Fulton St W in Grand Rapids Thursday, April 26 at around 2:00 P.M. Police believe the driver accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake. No injuries have been reported.
