    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — One person was killed and three others were hurt following a shooting  Saturday night. It happened at 1249 Dickinson Street SE in Grand Rapids. Grand Rapids Police said they discovered four victims were shot inside the residence. Three of the victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment.   • Two Men Sentenced To Life For Murder Of GVSU Adviser

    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.–The two men convicted of killing Grand Valley State University adviser Santiago Zapata Jr. were sentenced Wednesday afternoon in Kent County Circuit Court. Maceo Scott and Timothy Miller, both 25,  had separate trials, but were both sentenced to life in prison with no chance for parole. They were  found guilty of felony murder and armed robbery,  involving the death of Zapata. Last September, the 50-year-old adviser was found stabbed and beaten to death in his Grand Rapids home.     EAST LANSING, Mich. — Police in East Lansing are investigating two sexual assaults and one attempted sexual assault involving female students at Michigan State University. All assaults took place off campus.
