  • Lions Select Ziggy Ansah with Fifth Pick in NFL Draft

    NEW YORK CITY — With the fifth pick in the 2013 NFL Draft the Detroit Lions selected BYU defensive end Ezekiel “Ziggy” Ansah. Ansah, who never played football until 2010, was born in Accra, Ghana and grew up playing soccer.  The 23-year-old becomes the first top-five selection from BYU since Jim McMahon in 1982. Ansah had 39 solo tackles and 72 total in three seasons at BYU.
