DALTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man has been arrested in the hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a teen Wednesday.
Michigan State Police say it happened just after 6:30 a.m. Tuesday on Russell Road just south of Tyler Road in Muskegon County.
We're told the school bus was stopping to pick up a group of students waiting along the shoulder when a driver passed the school bus and struck the pair.
The driver, who police is a 22-year-old man from Twin Lake, was arrested in connection to the crash. MSP says the suspect's vehicle was recovered with damage consistent with the crash.
The suspect is facing charges for a hit-and-run crash causing serious injury and a moving violation causing serious injury.
The suspect is being held at the Muskegon County jail.
