GRAND RAPIDS — Today is World Wish Day. What does that mean?
40 years ago, a wish was granted in Phoenix, Arizona and that sparked the creation of Make-A-Wish.
Locally, Make A Wish Michigan has granted more than 10,000 wishes to children with critical illnesses to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
"While doctors provide the medicine, Make-A-Wish Michigan supplies the magical experience that provides a positive and life-changing experience."
An experience that strengthens families in a powerful way. Right now there's an urgent need to continue granting wishes, because more than 800 kids in Michigan, including 200 here in West Michigan are waiting for their wishes.
What can you do to help? Wishes need stars like you to align and deliver hope to these families.
You can post a message of hope and tag Make A Wish Michigan or donate to help make every wish come true. Head to michigan.wish.org for more information.
