Haleigh Vaughn joined the FOX 17 News Weather Team in June of 2021. She grew up in West Michigan, so she is thrilled to be home!
As a young girl, she was terrified of tornadoes and strong storms. She transitioned her fear into passion by studying meteorology. Haleigh graduated from Central Michigan University with a major in meteorology, minor in mathematics, and minor in broadcast and cinematic arts. (Fire up, Chips!) She also has her American Meteorological Society seal, meaning she is a certified broadcast meteorologist.
Haleigh Vaughn started her career at 9&10 News in Northern Michigan where she spent several years forecasting lake effect snow and connecting with Northern Michigan communities. After her time in Northern Michigan, her next step landed her at WTVG 13abc in Toledo, Ohio where she quickly fell in love with everything Toledo!
Forecasting for her home, West Michigan, brings Haleigh so much pride. When she isn't forecasting, she loves spending time with her husband, dog, and cat! She loves running, baking, cooking, golfing, and going on outdoor adventures across West Michigan!
