Grand Rapids city clerk prepared for a busy Election Day

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids residents can register to vote in person with the city clerk on Election Day up until 8 o’clock tonight. If you do need to register to vote, bring a document that proves your residency. Digital copies are accepted.

Precincts are currently open and close at 8 p.m. anyone in line at 8 o’clock may still vote. Voters may not wear campaign buttons, masks, hats, shirts. They will need to cover or remove them.

Voters may wear items that promote voting or other political themes as long as they don't promote a party, candidate or proposal on the ballot. You can drop off your absentee ballots at drop boxes across the city until 8 p-m.
