GRAND RAPIDS — High temperatures on Sunday topped the 60 degree mark in many locations. The record in Grand Rapids was 78, so we did not come close. We reached 62.
Rain is on the way for the second half of Monday. We expect to start the day off dry but build cloud cover throughout the afternoon as rain chances get introduced. Rain will start to arrive in our northwest communities first around our lunch hour before filling in across all of West Michigan. Late evening and overnight hours are prime time for this event to see the widespread rain. About a half an inch to an inch of rainfall is expected with the rain moving out by early Tuesday morning.
We can see a minor dip in temperatures by midweek with minor rain/snow mix chances before pushing temperatures back into the mid 40s. Stay updated with the Fox 17 Weather team for any changes. Get the complete West Michigan forecast at www.fox17online.com/weather.
