West Michigan doctors seek item donations amid nationwide shortage

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Hospitals needs gloves, masks as gowns more than ever during the COVID19 pandemic.

The nationwide shortage of personal protection equipment (PPE) is so great it has the dental community and others coming together to host PPE drives.

These drives are a perfect opportunity for others to make a huge difference and potentially save lives in the process.

Items being collected include: masks, gloves, face shields, disposable gowns, disposable hair nets and caps, disinfectant wipes, disinfectant spray and hand sanitizer of at least 60% alcohol.

PPE drop off locations for Saturday, March 21.
