The Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger program is asking hunters who have been blessed with tagging a deer this season to share part of their harvest, or even an entire deer, with Michigan food banks this year.
In its third year, The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is hosting its deer donation drive. Hunters can bring their deer to any MSAH processing location to participate.
Once the venison is processed and transformed into edible food, it will be donated to food banks across the state of Michigan.
Participating hunters will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes, including gift cards and the grand prize of a wild boar hunt at Ted Nugent's Sunrize Acres Ranch.
