There's a whole World of Winter out there just waiting to be discovered in downtown Grand Rapids. Many art installations, ice carvings, and many more events taking place throughout the month of January and February for the World of Winter event.

The World of Winter festival features over 15 outdoor art installations, including Hybycozo, Impulse, and the Singing Tree.

There will also be pop-up musical performances, walking tours, outdoor ice games, a snowperson building contest, a scavenger hunt, and more!

In February, the Valent-ICE exhibition consists of over 80 professionally carved ice sculptures, including one 5,000-lb sculpture that will be carved live! This is one of the largest ice sculpture galleries in Michigan.

All programming will be socially-distant. Events are “strolling events” to discourage crowding and art installations can be checked out whenever since they will be left Downtown throughout the duration of the festival. Events and attractions will also be live-streamed for those that want to see the festivities from home.

Visit WorldOfWinterGR.com for a complete list of events and installations.
