Happy Cat Cafe is back open!

After about a year of closed doors due to the pandemic, West Michigan's first and only cat cafe is once again open to the public.

Happy Cat Cafe is a registered animal shelter that works with local non-profit rescues like Michele's Rescue to help cats find their forever home.

Visitors have the option between a private and non-private visit. Private groups are easy for social distancing and allow people to move freely, plus masks can be removed while in the room with the cats.

Non-private visits involve sitting at one of their socially-distanced cafe tables in the main eating area.

Masks and social distancing are required when not eating or drinking during non-private visits.

Happy Cat Cafe, located at 447 Division Avenue South in Grand Rapids, is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day.

The cafe is allowing people to come by appointment only. To schedule a visit, call (616)-202-4750 or go online to happycatgr.com.
