1. Some vibrant new additions to the Ford International Airport are in the works.

Two Grand Rapids artists are painting murals, both depicting animals. The art program works with the Frey Foundation to get grants that pay for the artwork.

They need to fill the space after new renovations at Ford International left plenty of space to house new pieces.

A replica of the Calder sculpture is one of many future projects already in the works.

2. The financial burden of college is wiped away for nearly 1,000 Grand Rapids students.

They are eligible for a scholarship at Grand Rapids Community College.

The Grand Rapids Promise Zone Authority awarded 982 of them this week, after the state approved of the plan back in February.

The scholarship is good for up to 60 credits and is available for high schoolers in the city who are graduating in the spring. It covers the cost of tuition, fees, books, and other course materials.

Students don't even need to attend GRCC full time to take advantage. The class of 2020 is the first group who can use these scholarships.

3. John Ball Zoo is offering free admission this year to those carrying a Michigan Bridge Card.

It's good for the card holder, and up to nine family members.

The offer replaces the Jump Passes they've handed out in the past. All users need to do is show the Bridge Card at the admission booth, and they get in at no charge.

However, this won't apply to certain special events like Zoo Goes Boo or WGVU Kids Day.

Head to jbzoo.org for more details.

4. Looking for a new job this summer? How about working at Mackinac Island?

They're looking to hire about 5,000 seasonal workers. They need that many to help keep the island up and running every year.

Current openings include the Yankee Rebel Tavern and Horn's restaurant.

To learn more and see all the positions, visit the Mackinac Island Job Posting Page on Facebook.

5. For the latest Instagram-worthy frozen beverage, head to Cinnabon.

The brand that gifted people with their cinnamon rolls is now rolling out the Churro Chillatta.

The frozen drink combines their signature blended Chillatta in a creamy sweet cinnamon flavor with whipped cream, caramel drizzle and a churro stick.

The churro Chillatta is available now at Cinnabon Bakeries nationwide.

The deal is only available for a limited time.
