During the COVID-19 pandemic, local hospitals and doctors offices saw a dramatic shift in the number of patients and visits. Early on, health care providers were mandated to postpone or cancel non-essential surgeries, procedures, diagnostic tests, and patient visits because of state orders.
Now hospitals and physician offices are resuming non-essential care and many families are coming in for care. However, other families are expressing lingering concerns with the unresolved COVID-19 threat.
As they resume regular operations, Spectrum Health wants you to know that whether patients choose to get care virtually or in-person, they’re ready to care for you.
Here to tell us more about what parents can expect as they schedule those preventative and ill child visits is Dr. Kimberly Mitcham, a pediatrician from the Spectrum Health Medical Group – Hudsonville location.
