LANSING, Mich. — The number of positive cases of the coronavirus in Michigan has increased to 28,059.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) reported the latest numbers of cases in the coronavirus outbreak this afternoon.
The number of cases has increased 1,058 from yesterday, when there were 27,001 statewide cases. Yesterday, the state reported 1,366 new cases.
The state says there have been 1,921 coronavirus deaths in Michigan.
The number of deaths has increased 153 from yesterday, when there were 1,768 statewide deaths. Yesterday, the state reported 166 new deaths.
Statewide, 433 people have recovered from the virus as of April 10.
In the U.S., there are 614,482 cases, and there have been 27,085 deaths — while 50,107 people have recovered, according to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
