Calhoun County reports COVID-19 outbreak at jail

Coronavirus-confirmed healthcare workers can return to work without being testing negative

CALHOUN COUNTY, Mich. — Calhoun County is reporting an outbreak of COVID-19 cases at its jail.

The 24-case outbreak occurred in a pod of the jail where immigrants were being kept, according to Lucy Blair, a spokesperson for the county, today.

Two of the cases are symptomatic, and the rest are asymptomatic.

Two employees of the jail also have the virus.

However, the county hasn't confirmed if they're "part of this outbreak."
