GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — PK-8 students within Grand Rapids Public Schools will return to a hybrid virtual/in-person learning model on Tuesday, Jan. 19, according to Superintendent Leadriane Roby, Ph.D.
In a letter to parents, Roby says students in grades 9-12 will continue with virtual learning until state and county health officials advise otherwise.
In the meantime, all students are scheduled to remain virtual from Jan. 4 through Jan. 15.
“We hope this is the last time we have to face this sort of delay,” says Roby. “Our utmost priority is the health of our students and staff, and we will continue to follow state and local guidance to keep your children safe.”
Parents are asked to consult the COVID-19 Parent Handbook and FAQs on the GRPS website.
