Herman Miller temporarily shutting down manufacturing in West Michigan

ZEELAND, Mich. — A major office furniture maker is temporarily shutting down all of its manufacturing operations in West Michigan amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Effective at midnight, Herman Miller will stop manufacturing in the region, according to Elise Waugh, corporate communications manger at Herman Miller, this evening.

The shut down will last through April 13.

Third and first shifts "need not report for next scheduled shifts," Waugh said.
