MICHIGAN — There are a total of 446,752 new coronavirus cases and 11,018 deaths in Michigan, the state reported Wednesday.
That's up 4,037 cases and 83 deaths since the last report on Monday. The newly reported deaths also pushed Michigan past the 11,000 mark.
The state surpassed 400,000 total cases of COVID-19 last week, just less than nine months after the first cases were confirmed on March 10.
The 400,000 case mark came on the same day that Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced the COVID-19 restrictions would be extended for 12 more days until Dec. 20.
As of Friday, Dec. 11, 236,369 people have recovered from the virus in Michigan.
