PORTAGE, Mich. — A mural painted on Portage Road in front of Pfizer's facility says simply 'Thank you Pfizer! - Portage MI'

Trans American Striping donated their time and materials for the mural.

“We want to thank the City of Portage for suggesting this mural and helping with the last minute details to make it happen,” said David Vaughn, owner of Trans American Striping. “We were honored to be a part of the community effort.”

The city set up banners around town, and many people have made yard signs thanking the pharmaceutical company for their contribution to the COVID-19 vaccine.

“I thank all of the Pfizer employees for the dedication they have put in to creating a vaccine in record time and those who supported these efforts,” said City Manager Joe La Margo. “Portage is enormously proud of what our friends and neighbors have accomplished. History has been made right here in Portage!”

The city has more signs for people to put in their yards at Portage City Hall.
