Read the full Michigan epidemic order extending partial shutdown until Dec. 20 due to COVID-19 pandemic

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced the partial shutdown in Michigan will be extended for 12 more days until Dec. 20. The shutdown was set to expire at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday.

The shutdown follows the same criteria in the original 3-week pause, including the suspension of indoor dining, the closure of movie theatres, casinos, bingo halls and more.
