GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The largest health system in West Michigan is reporting a new record number of patients hospitalized with COVID-19.
The number of current COVID-19 hospitalizations at Spectrum Health has spiked to 151, according to a tweet today by Leon Hendrix, a Spectrum spokesperson.
Yesterday's testing positivity rate is also "a high" 9% — or 304 out of 3,372 lab tests in the system.
On Saturday, the state reported a record number of new COVID-19 cases: 3,338.

“We’re seeing COVID19 spreading across our state, and it is alarming,” Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said yesterday.
