Spectrum Health has announced that it plans to open drive-up coronavirus specimen collection centers.
According to Spectrum’s Susan Krieger, the centers will “enable fast, efficient and safe collection for testing at the state lab.”
She cautioned that “it is important for community members and people who are worried about COVID-19 to understand that we may collect specimens only from individuals who have a physician’s order.”
Krieger said the site is only for patients who have appointments and is not a drive-up site for screening, testing or on-demand specimen collection.”
She said the first step is to call Spectrum's COVID-19 Hotline at (616) 391-2380.
