Western Michigan University refunding students who vacated dorms

Students who lived in the WMU residence halls may receive up to $1,000 in credit

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Western Michigan University announced Thursday that they’re refunding students who lived in the dorms through March 11 and vacated due to the coronavirus Pandemic.

Vice President of Student Affairs Diane K. Anderson made the announcement via a letter sent to students. It states in part:

  • A $1,000 WMU account credit for residents with a meal plan during the 2020 spring semester
  • A $500 WMU account credit for residents without a meal plan during the 2020 spring semester
