BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 27-year-old man is dead after a Tuesday morning shooting in Benton Township.
It happened just after 4 a.m. at the Briarwood Apartments at 1869 Union, according to a news release.
Officers heard two to three gunshots after arriving at the scene and learning of two men arguing in the parking lot.
Witnesses told police they heard one of the men saying he had been shot and vehicles fleeing the scene.
Benton Township police learned of a gunshot victim arriving at Spectrum Health Lakeland, where he was pronounced dead.
The shooter has not been found as of Tuesday.
