GRAND LEDGE, Mich. — Eaton County Sheriff's Office deputies and Michigan State Police troopers have arrested an individual after a pursuit across multiple counties and a citywide lockdown in Grand Ledge.
MSP says troopers were asked to help the Drug Enforcement Agency with a vehicle that was suspected in a pharmacy break-in in Kalamazoo County.
Troopers tried to stop the vehicle on eastbound I-96 in Ionia County, when the driver of the vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit began.
Troopers followed the suspect vehicle south on M-100 into the City of Grand Ledge.
They lost track of the vehicle in the construction zone but found it a short time later, crashed into the deck of a home.
MSP says one person is in custody while another is still on the loose. That individual is described as a Black man in his 30s.
Through a law enforcement investigation and witness statements, a second suspect vehicle was identified with four additional occupants.
This vehicle was found and stopped on I-96 near Lansing Road.
