GARFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Michigan State Police troopers from the Mount Pleasant post arrested a man for suspected meth during a traffic stop Thursday afternoon in Clare County.
The traffic stop was conducted about 2:30 p.m. near Terry and Lake streets in Garfield Township, according to a news release Friday.
The driver of the vehicle, a 25-year-old Lake man, initially gave troopers a false identity.
He was later correctly identified and found to have several outstanding warrants for his arrest.
A search of his vehicle found that he was in possession of suspected meth.
The man was lodged at the Clare County Jail and is awaiting arraignment.
