LANSING, Mich. — Michigan's 16 Electoral Voters have cast their ballots in the 2020 election. All 16 voted for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, following the popular vote in November.
All 50 states were scheduled to cast their Electoral Votes on Monday, officially electing the Biden-Harris ticket to the White House.
The state capitol was closed to the public Monday, after a credible threat was made.
A State Representative was stripped of his committee assignments after making statements about violence at protests outside the capitol.
He issued a statement hours later.
The Speaker of the Michigan House said he would not push for state lawmakers to overturn the election result.
