TROY, Mich. — Casey Crawford is being recognized for her Excellence in Education.
Keegan Collins, Casey’s nominator, says, “She's an incredible, compassionate, caring and just thoughtful teacher for all of her students.”
“I think it's a job that consumes your life in a good way,” says Crawford. “I love seeing the small victories that they have, and even the tiniest thing is such a huge celebration.”
Casey has received a $1,500 check from the Michigan Lottery, and her class at Barnard Elementary will receive a $500 grant.
