GROSSE ILE, Mich. — The Michigan Lottery recognizes Charlie Butler for his Excellence in Education.
"He carries the title of teacher and coach with a purpose," says Maddie Miller, his nominator. "You can tell it's more than just a job for him."
The Grosse Ile High School teacher will receive a $1,500 check for his devotion to his students. The school will also receive a $500 grant.
"I teach because it’s fun," says Butler. "It's one of the funnest things I do."
