ST. JOHNS, Mich. — Joshua Gove is being recognized for his Excellence in Education.
Brandy Boak, Gove’s nominator, says, “He calls his students champion artists, and he is huge in developing champions.”
“When March 2020 happened, I didn't think that I'd be having a YouTube channel and teaching virtually and in person,” says Joshua. “I just wanted them to be able to have that same experience and just make the same connections, whether we're together or through a screen.”
Joshua has received a $1,500 check from the Michigan Lottery, and his class at St. Johns Public Schools will receive a $500 grant.
