PONTIAC, Mich. — Sen. Gary Peters campaigned in Pontiac Monday afternoon.
Peters was accompanied by Sen. Debbie Stabenow and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in an effort to mobilize voters before the Nov. 3 election.
It was part of a campaign tour that went through Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Bay and Saginaw counties, all on Nov. 2.
At the event, Peters stressed the importance of turning out to vote.
"The choices we have are dramatically different," said Peters. "What’s on the ballot means we have to get out to make sure that our voices are heard loud and clear tomorrow."
Healthcare was another chief topic Peters discussed.
"We have a Trump administration that’s trying to repeal the Affordable Care Act," he stated, "and in the process, thousands and thousands of folks in our state will lose healthcare coverage if they’re successful.”
