WYOMING, Mich. — The Wyoming Department of Public Safety is investigating a burglary and possible arson that occurred at an engine repair shop over the weekend.
Around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 17, Wyoming firefighters responded to a fire at Austin-Jordan Engines (4259 Clyde Park SW).
Investigators found that the shop, which suffered extensive damage from the fire, had been burglarized and purposefully set afire before the suspect took off in a stolen car.
Around 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 18, Wyoming police officers found the stolen vehicle and a suspect at a business in the City of Wyoming.
The subject was lodged at the Kent County Jail on probable cause.
Tomorrow, case facts will be presented to the Kent County Prosecutor for consideration of formal charges.
