HASTINGS, Mich. — The Barry County GOP has censured Rep. Peter Meijer for voting to impeach former President Donald Trump.
"Barry County Republicans were very disappointed by Congressman Meijer’s vote to impeach then-President Trump," said Phillip Joseph, the Deputy Chair and Spokesperson for Barry County GOP. "Our party’s action is a reflection of the sentiment felt by conservatives across Barry County.”
This is the second county in Meijer's district to vote to censure him, after Calhoun County GOP voted to censure him earlier this month.
