NASHVILLE, Mich. — One West Michigan town hosted a fun and creative competition on Saturday, where they invited everyone to hit the slopes.

FOX 17's Savannah Fish was live in Nashville to show us their Cardboard Sled Races.

Kids and adults of all ages were invited to come out and sled down the hill in a box of their own.

Prizes were awarded to the top three most creatively designed sleds.

Competitors could either enter as a team or by themselves.

Sleds had to be built before arrival, and could only be made out of cardboard, tape, glue, fabric, marker, paint, and crayon.

No metal gears or machinery were allowed.

Day of admission tickets were $5.

The competition started at 10 a.m. and lasted until noon.
