KENT COUNTY, Mich. — For the second year in a row, Pro Collision of West Michigan is teaming up to help former FOX 17 Person of the Month Jessica Wertsch, and her operation "J's Chemo Bags".

Wertsch collects items like cards, blankets and books to make chemo care bags. They're distributed to patients at Lacks Cancer Center in Grand Rapids, where her mother works as a surgical tech.

Pro Collision is asking that people drop off various items to help Wertsch fill many more chemo bags.

Donations are being accepted through December 24th.

"I always see that she needs stuff, so for me it hit kind of close to home," said Nicole Smith, President of Pro Collision. "Something that she does is amazing, so if I can just collect a few items for her for the whole year, that's what I want to do."

Smith said last year the donation drive got a big response and they're hoping for the same thing this year.

"I was like that's awesome, that's really going to help, but I didn't realize how much it was really going to help," said Wertsch. "It gave me supplies for the whole year, like I had lotion for the whole year. I'm just running out so when she said 'I'll do it again', I'm like yay, thank you because I need it, I need a little bit more."

The drop off location is 4089 Remembrance Rd NW in Walker
